Intel has created an ultra-low-cost laptop for schoolchildren in emerging markets. The ClassMatePC is available with Linux or Windows XP, comes with an "educational feature set," and is part of a program in which Intel plans to invest $1 billion over the next five years.

Spencer is the President and founder of Wasatch Software, a national provider of I.T. products and services. He first gained industry experience while a member of Microsoft’s Sales & Licensing and AntiPiracy teams. Recently, he was named to Utah Business Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list for 2009, which honors the state’s top business minds under the age of 40. Spencer is also a member of the Partner Advisory Council for Kaspersky Lab and serves on the board of directors for the Susan Ferguson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
