Microsoft Software for Students and Teachers

Yes, it is true that software seems extremely expensive, especially if you visit the local Best Buy or other retail stores. If you are a student or a teacher, there's an answer. You can take advantage of great academic discounts on Microsoft software:

Windows XP Pro Upgrade
Office 2003 Professional
Windows Server 2003
...and many more!

An order can be placed on our website, or by calling 888-275-8850. It is required that you send us a copy of your faculty or student ID. This can be e-mailed (service@wasatchsoftware.com) or faxed (801-983-3687).

Schools can participate in even greater savings with the Microsoft Academic Open License program or Microsoft School Agreement. Thanks!

Terminal Services CALs and Licensing Info

We have a great response from those looking to buy Terminal Services CALs as of late. Perhaps the best reasons for this include our extremely low cost and fast delivery time (1-3 business days). Wasatch Software offers Windows Terminal Services user or device CALs under the Microsoft Open License program for just $76.80 each (5 license minimum). These CALs will work with Windows 2000 and 2003 servers. We are also happy to provide information on how to activate a Windows 2003 Terminal Services licensing server and add CALs (2000).

Symantec AntiVirus Licenses and Renewals

I just wanted to remind all of you about the great deals we have on new Symantec AntiVirus licenses and renewals. Businesses, schools and other organizations can see great savings on licenses that are delivered within a few business days, especially with volume licensing. Now is the time to get the new Symantec AntiVirus 10.0. If you have budget issues to work through, you can ask about paying later or possibly even spreading payments out. This can also be done with Microsoft licensing and other software programs. Thanks and have a great day!

Microsoft SBS 2003 Service Pack 1

This afternoon I represented Wasatch Software at a Microsoft TS2 Seminar in Salt Lake City. Microsoft shared alot of interesting information with us. Among the things I found particularly useful was Small Business Server Service Pack 1. Though it is yet to be released (should be coming within a few months), it will include many security updates and will also combine previously released service packs for individual components including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL and SharePoint. More information

Microsoft also discussed plans to release a new small business accounting program, code-named Magellan. It should be available to all within the next year. I'll keep you posted with any new info!

SQL Server 2005 and Software Assurance

I just wanted to remind everyone that now is the best time to buy SQL Server 2000 with Software Assurance. With the release of SQL 2005 near, you will be upgraded for free with Software Assurance coverage under the Microsoft Open License or Open Value programs. Wasatch Software will also send you a complimentary media kit for SQL 2005 upon it's release. Thanks for your time!
