PRESS RELEASE
The Hospital Cooperative, a collaborative group that facilitates coordinated efforts among its 14 member hospitals, has long sought ways to improve the sharing of patient data among its members. Ultimately, the exchange of this data through technology will improve healthcare and allow providers to make more educated diagnoses and decisions for patients. Planning and design of the data exchange is expected to conclude in the Spring of 2012, at which time Wasatch Software expects to begin implementing the technology solutions necessary to make the exchange a reality. “We are pleased to have received funding from the Portneuf Health Care Foundation located in Pocatello, ID for this project and are excited to be partnering with Wasatch Software in an effort to create much needed connectivity across our region,” said Jon Smith, Executive Director of The Hospital Cooperative. “Ultimately, the goal for this project is to create better patient outcomes.” Chris Wessells, Vice President of Operations for Wasatch Software, stated that “While we always enjoy implementing technology that solves business problems for our clients, it’s even more rewarding when the result can make such a huge difference to the health of so many people.”
