Conficker Worm!!

The Downadup worm also called Conficker has now infected approximately 10 million PCs worldwide, and security experts say they expect to see a dangerous second stage that may come into play April 1st. Beware; this is no April fools joke!
This Malicious attack "disables Windows security features and makes the computer part of a "botnet" of other infected computers that take orders from a varying series of servers on the internet. It may additionally gather personal information, install malicious programs on the computer, and attack or infect other computers." It also can prevent the computer from being able to access some security websites to help prevent attacks. The Conficker worm spreads across networks. If it finds a vulnerable computer, it turns off the automatic backup service, deletes previous restore points, disables some security services, blocks access to a number of security web sites and opens infected machines to receive additional programs from the malware’s creator. The worm then tries to spread itself to other computers on the same network. Make sure your AV is up to date to help prevent this worm from attacking!

even if someone used Conficker to steal my credit card info, there wouldn't be any credit there for them to exploit or spend
